Contracting/Maintenance License Renewal at Dubai Municipality
To renew Contracting/Maintenance related licenses, the following procedures to be completed at Dubai Municipality through online.

Get Transaction Number: Type License renewal form (BR/1) of Economic Department (DED), get signature of Managing Director/Partner of the company, submit it DED Head Office, Business Village, near Clock Tower, Deira, and get Transaction number.
Online Appointment: To avoid walk-in queue, you can take online appointment using your DED Username and Password and reach there 10 minutes before of your time, check-in through the self service computer there.
If you don’t have DED online account, create new account (see below Option 2).
Fill online application of Dubai Municipality. The following documents are required:
- DED Transaction/Follow-up Number
- Copy of Trade LicenseTenancy Contract of office and Labour Camp with EJARI registration Certificate. Labour Camp must be in Dubai at designated areas like Muhaisina, Al Qouze.
Employee List printed from Labour website. You can print it if you have Netwasal user ID, or print it from Tas’heel Centre).Company Comprehensive Report from Ministry of Labour. This report can be collected from Ministry’s Head office, Qusais or from Customer Care Centre at Al Tawar Municipality Centre near Al Qusais Metro Station.
Updated list of Vehicles and equipments from RTA (for building contracting license and construction site preparation activities)
Approved Engineer‘s Passport copy with visa page, attested Educational certificate, one photograph and copy of Society of Engineers membership. If the membership is not issued, a confirmation letter in Arabic stating that your company will arrange the membership for the engineer within six months.
Statement of completed and ongoing projects in Dubai including free zone projects.
Engineer’s pass Certificate / Card from Dubai Municipality, Accreditation Date, Exam number and Registration Number (if available).
If the requirements are fulfilled, online application will be approved within 2 working days. Municipality will charge Dh250 for each Engineer/Technical Staff. Fees can be paid through online using Credit Card or Direct Debit Bank Account. Approval will be displayed on DM website and will send the information electronically to Economic Department. Approval print has to be attached with DED application form and proceed for license renewal process.
Take online appointment through DED website using your company’s user name and password, and submit the following documents at DED Counter.
Copy of Trade License and partners list (if LLC)
Copy of Tenancy Contract and EJARI Registration Certificate
Copy Municipality approval printed from DM website
Payment voucher will be issued same time. You can pay at DED branches or online using Credit Card or through Direct Debit bank account (CBD, ABIB, DB).

License renewal Procedures at DED
(Normal Trading and Professional License-Activities not related to Municipality)
Following documents are required:
- Typed form (BR/1)
- Copy of Trade License
- Copy of Tenancy Contract and EJARI Registration Certificate
NOTE: Two options are available for Trade License renewal
Option 1: Take the above mentioned documents to Tas’heel Centre at Al Tawar Centre in Al Qusais. Note that there are two Tas’heel Centres in Al Tawar Centre. For license renewal, you should go to the first floor, where Tas’heel Centre (Office 18) can be found next to Economic Department. Go to the Reception Hub and pay Dh50 as service charge. When your token number displays, go to the counter and hand over the documents. After scanning your tenancy contract, they will issue payment voucher. You can make payment at the Cashier and get the license or pay online using Credit Card or through Direct Debit bank account (CBD, ABIB, DB).
If you want to add Post Box number or telephone number in the license, Dh40 to be paid extra.
Almost all DED services now available in the above Tas’heel centre.

Option 2: Create a new user account through MYID Website. You should have Emirates ID and Card Reader to complete the registration. After submitting required information, you will get a username and password. If you have difficulty in creating User Account, you can go to Tas’heel Centre (for DED Services) at Al Tawar Centre, Qusais. Fees: Dh50. Self service counters are available at DED Business Village Branch, near Clock Tower, Deira. After creating the account, enter DED site and make appointment. Submit the documents at the selected DED branch.
MYID Call Centre: 600 56 0000. This user ID can be used for various government sites.
To activate online payment and license online renewal facilities, you should visit DED Dubai Mall branch or Business Village branch near Clock Tower. Attach Trade License copy, Partners list and your passport copy. You should be a partner/manager to get authorization.
After activation, you can enter DED site and manage your license transactions including renewal. For renewal, you need to enter EJARI Registration Certificate number only. System will pull all information about your Tenancy Contract and number of staff. Payment voucher will be generated same time and you can make online payment using Credit Card or through Direct Debit bank account (CBD, ABIB, DB).
